Corner Pieces, an organization with a mission to support autistic families, will host a 3-on-3 Street Hockey Tournament at the Satisfied Frog on Saturday February 8th, in Downtown Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.
The tournament, which will be sponsored by The Satisfied Frog, Thinking of U, Cup of the Day, and 95.1 The Eagle will raise funds for autism awareness in the Sault and EUP area — a mission that Corner Pieces has sought to advance since its founding in 2011. The organization also supports families through distribution of iPads and Nabi’s, devices that have been known to aid in the motor skills development of children affected by autism.
The tournaments $50 team registration fee includes two 24 min games, special collectors cup, and chance to win cash prizes. Teams can be made up of all male or female players, or co-ed. All players must be 21 & up. A prize will be awarded to the team with the best name and attire. Play kicks off at noon, with fun lasting throughout the day. This is a round-robin tournament, each team is guaranteed two 24 minute games.
